Benq E2200HD – Affordable computer monitor
There are plenty of affordable 16:9 full HD display and this one is another amongst them with a 22 inches size. This panel is quite similar to Benq’s own M2200HD but it has a black finish instead of white one and there is no USB hub or Webcam. The manufacturer hasn’t changed the build quality and I was disappointed to see this especially because the plastic still creaks when you make any adjustments. There aren’t a lot of ergonomics options here; you just get a back tilt and I think that this is done in order to keep the costs low. Apart from that, the black piano finish on the Benq E2200HD is strikingly in contrast with the silver screen surround. This makes it more aesthetically appealing as compared to the M2200HD. The E2200 HD is also slimmer. The big power button has green unobtrusive LED and menu buttons are located on the bottom left side. This, along with colorful and logical OSD makes it very easy to adjust the settings and my only gripe here is that the  [...]

BenQ V2420H – Too expensive for the features it offers
BenQ V2420H costs $300 and at that price, we find it hard to recommend this monitor especially because there is the much better Samsung PX2370 available for just $10 more. The V2420H does have some advantages over the Samsung monitor – it has less backlight clouding and is one inch wider. However, the V2420H color performance is a bit poor which makes it a difficult argument against the Samsung monitor. We would recommend you to pass this display and go for the Samsung PX2370. However, if you still insist on this the V2420H, then read on. The panel wobbled a lot when we knocked it from the sides. This monitor tilts back by ten degrees but there is no pivot, swivel or height adjustment options. BenQ V2420H has DVI, HDMI and VGA connection options. All these connections are located on the display's back and are easy to access. There is a headphone jack located alongside the VGA port. OSD or onscreen display array is located on  [...]

BenQ V2400 Eco – All white monitor
BenQ V2400 Eco has been priced at $350 and the reigning champion in our tests, the Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 costs about $300 so there is no real reason why you should go for this monitor. Samsung performed much better in our tests because it had a brighter screen and the viewing angle was wider. We were slightly puzzled by the all white look of the monitor but it certainly stood out in our test centers. The monitor has a foot stand that is 7.1 inches deep and 11.8 inches wide and it makes sure the monitor doesn’t topple down even if you give it a big push. It just wobbles a bit and then comes back in to place. You cannot rotate the screen and all that you can do is, tilt the screen forward and behind up to 20 degrees. We didn’t find this feature too useful. The stand of the monitor has a hole which is big enough to house a tea cup. BenQ told us that it is for keeping a mini plant pot or keepsakes but we doubt if you would let water anywhere close to a $350 electronic product. For  [...]
