Dell UltraSharp U3011 – Awesome OSD
Let me start this review by telling one fact upfront – This is the best 30 inch computer monitor I have ever seen in my labs. It delivers great on the performance and has a very big resolution of 2,560x1,600 pixels. There are a ton of connectivity options and the OSD too has a lot of features for calibration. One big problem here is the price. This beast costs $1,349 and it is about $400 more than the smaller sibling – 27 inch Dell UltraSharp U2711 which has mostly the same set of features but lesser real estate. For me, the U2711 is the best monitor in the big size category but if you yearn for a bigger size and if you are willing to spend more for it, check out the Dell UltraSharp U3011. Dell UltraSharp U3011 has a size of 30 inches and it has everything that I liked about the Dell UltraSharp U2711 along with three bigger inches size. There are more OSD or onscreen display options too. I won’t write a lot about the OSD since not a lot of people  [...]

Dell SP2309W – Aesthetics Meets Performance
The Dell SP2309W priced at $379 bundles all good features of a monitor into one and brings it to you. You name it and the SP2309W have it, be it good performance; DVI, HDMI and VGA connections; intuitiveness, 360 degree screen rotation; high screen resolution of 2048 x 1152 pixel; uniquely designed onscreen display; or the five USB ports SP2309 has got it all for you. Though, our comparison of Dell SP2309W with the $690 priced 24-inch Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP, showed SP2309W lacking slightly in connection options and general performance. The Dell SP2309W is just what you have wanted always and priced at $379 it just has struck the sweet spot in the market. It comes with DVI, VGA, and HDMI video inputs in addition to five USB ports with 1 up/4 down configuration. Though, there aren't any inbuilt speakers, but the monitor has an Audio IN and OUT ports. There also is a built-in camera in Dell SP2309W in case you want to try video calls or chatting. The camera quality  [...]

Dell G2410 – Inexpensive and energy efficient
If you are someone who likes low priced, low power consuming, but excellent performing things, then the 24-inch Dell G2410 for $299 online is just the perfect deal for you. We definitely will recommend Dell G2410, and it might not be the most attractive gadget in your room but despite its plain design, with its satisfying price and its stellar performance for a 24-inch TN display and low power eating it definitely is worth buying. Even the absence of a HDMI connection and ergonomic features gets compromised with, with its immense performance and energy options which allow you control your energy footprint. Though, if you want HDMI you can go for similar 24-inch Dell S2409W for $10 less, but we wont recommend that, the reason being the poor performance and power consumption. Also, if you are ready to spend a little more than normal we will recommend the 23-inch Dell SP2309W and with its high 2048 x 1152 pixel resolution it has slightly enhanced performance than S2409W.

Dell SX2210 – With a unique footstand
Dell SX2210 is a 21.5 inch computer display which has a contrast ratio of 16:9. The panel is available online for $270 and its small size doesn’t occupy too much space on your desk. We are not sure about the white back panel design, we would rather prefer a black one but the performance was impressive. Other than that, the OSD is robust and the panel comes with DVI and HDMI connection options. Other bells and whistles includes 4 USB ports and a built in Webcam. Comparing this with what other competitors are offering, we have Lenovo L215p which is priced at $250 but doesn’t have DVI port and the performance is also not that good. Dell G2210 costs $249 is more energy efficient and movie performance is better but it lacks features. If asked to choose among the Lenovo and SX2210, we would go for the latter because of its DVI port. Footstand and ergonomic options rating (6/10) The footstand is oval shaped and is designed uniquely.  [...]

Dell Professional P2210 – Inexpensive feature rich monitor
22 inch Dell P2210 is priced at $240 but Dell is selling it for $209. You get plenty of ergonomic options on it – there is tilt, pivot, panel swiveling, and screen height adjustment. We also like the user friendly OSD array which was easy to navigate while calibrating the display. Performance in games and movies is good. Unfortunately, there is no HDMI port on the panel. We would recommend this panel to you if you are looking for good performance and features in a cheaper price range. But if you can spend a bit more, we would recommend you the superior Dell G2210. Footstand and ergonomic options rating (8/10) The footstand of the Dell Professional P2210 is 7.25 inches deep and 11 inches wide. We really liked the foostand, it held the monitor well and the panel refused to wobble much when we pushed it from the sides. Wobbling is minimal even when the height is set to maximum. The panel’s height can be adjusted by four inches.  [...]

Dell IN1910N – Seriously lacking in features
Dell IN1910N is the latest 19 inch offering from Dell’s stables and you can get it online for $129. Don’t start drooling at the low price, this panel doesn’t have much connectivity options and it does have any features other than support for VESA style wall mounting. The display gives a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels, and both movies and games are pretty disappointing on it. Dell has gone a bit too far in cutting down the features in order to keep the price low. Even if you are on a stiff budget, we will recommend you to put in a bit more money and get the 20-inch HP 2009m which gives much better quality. Footstand and ergonomic options rating (7/10) Footstand of the Dell IN1910N is 7.9 inches big in diameter. The panel did not wobble when we knocked it on the sides owing to the big footstand. Being an entry level panel, there is no option to pivot, swivel or change the height on this panel. You can only tilt backward  [...]

Dell ST2310 – lacks ergonomic features
This monitor costs $220 but you get it on the Dell site for $179 which makes it one for the cheapest 23 inch panels. It has a HDMI and DVI port but its positives end there. There are no ergonomic options, the brightness level is too low for games and movies, and there are no extras like built in speakers and USB ports. With these shortcomings, we will call this panel an entry level display; it is good only for light gamming and movie watching. If you are a multimedia enthusiast and yearn for the best quality in movies and games, we would advise you to stay away from this. The stand is narrow and a bit small but surprisingly, the panel just wobbles a bit and never falls off even with big jerks. There is anti glare coating on the screen for better viewing. The bottom of the bezel is 2.75 inches from the desk. Our major turn off for this panel was the lack of ergonomics options. You cannot swivel the screen, adjust the height or pivot it for portrait mode. All you can do is tilt the  [...]

Dell UltraSharp U2711 – Gorgeous, mouth watering display
This is the best computer monitor that we have ever had in our test centers. It will probably make a hole in your pocket with its price $1049 tag but considering the video quality that this panel has to offer, we would advice you to go for it. The screen gives a 2,560x1,440 pixel resolution, has lots of connection options and finally the performance is incredible. Dell has also solved the dithering problem that we saw on U2410. The big screen is held by a stand that is 7.8 inches deep and 12.5 inches wide. However, the stand doesn't hold the panel too steady it wobbles more than the U2410. The latter wobbled very little and was almost non existent. The screen swivels 70 degrees to its sides and tilts 25 degrees back. You can unscrew the LCD and mount it VESA style, on a wall. However, unlike U2410 this panel doesn’t have a portrait mode. Dell UltraSharp U2711 justifies the high price of the panel by giving you a variety of connection options at the back. There  [...]
